Events for 2012


  • 6th May (SUN    ) – The opening of  this year’s sculpture exhibition. This year our famous ‘Mythic Garden Sculpture Exhibition celebrates its 20th year, and opens to the public from today all the way through till October. The theme for this year’s Exhibition is ‘Birds’.
  • 12-13th May – We will be having a display (unmanned) at the Plant Heritage Collections day at RHS Rosemoor garden in north Devon.
  • 13th May (SUN) – Open for National Gardens Scheme.  Including Teas and Plant sales.
    We are delighted to be rejoining the National Gardens Scheme with this the first of  two openings this year for the charity, in partnership with nearby Castle Drogo (National Trust). NGS openings are always popular, especially as they include teas and plant sales. We will need lots of volunteers to help run the event and would be most grateful if you could spare a little time to help us.   • 26th May (SAT) – Traditional Gypsy Caravan event at the garden. More details to follow.
  • 1st-2nd June – We will be having a display (unmanned) at the popular Coombe Trenchard Garden Crafts festival. See our display in the Plant Heritage marquee.
  • 10th June (SUN) – Discover the real-life birds of Stone Lane Gardens in our second fascinating talk and guided walk led by the Royal Society for Protection of Birds (RSPB). This event is open to all.
  • 16th September (SUN) – Open for National Gardens Scheme.  Including Teas and Plant sales. This event is in partnership with nearby Castle Drogo (National Trust).
