medwedewii

Attractive and unusual multi-stemmed shrub. Silvery stems which stand out in winter. Glossy and handsome leaves with showy fat upright fruits/cones which stay on the branches for a long time. Autumn leaf colour is a rich yellow. Deceptively similar to the shrubby alders of the Alps, though its bark is more silvery.

Height: 4-6 metres, multi-stemmed habit.
