belle vue bark

A very vigorous and robust tree. The bark is pale pink-brown, smooth and freely-peeling; though the Belle Vue provenance is rougher than the white barked trees. Autumn leaf colour is a rich yellow or orange-yellow. The Belle Vue trees seem to keep their autumn colour for longer than most provenances of B. papyrifera.

Source: Belle Vue, Newfoundland.

Height: 12-18 metres, lightly spreading crown.
