Packed house for Georgian conservation talk

Garden Manager Paul Bartlett’s illustrated talk about conserving the rare Mingrelian birch was a sell-out success.
The talk, which took place at Endecott House in Chagford last Friday, was very well attended by an enthusiastic and appreciative audience. Based on his 3 trips to the Caucasus mountains of Georgia, Paul talked about his studies of Betula megrelica, along with tales of life in Georgia, encounters with bears, shepherds and vodka! This event raised funds for Stone Lane Gardens, and also raised awareness of the work we carry out. Thanks to all who came!
