Deborah Harrison wins the Ashburner Prize 2022
Sculptor Deborah Harrison has won the much coveted Ashburner Prize for sculpture, generously sponsored by Caradon Granite, at Stone Lane Gardens this year. At a ceremony held last night, Sir Tim Smit (Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan) presented the prestigious Ashburner Prize, worth £1000, to the artist along with a bouquet of flowers in front of a large audience of specially invited guests, including many South West members of The RSA (The Royal Society of Arts). Deborah’s sculpture ‘The Stone Totem’ is among the work of over 40 artists, selected this year to show their work in the arboretum. The annual exhibition of sculpture continues throughout the summer months until the end of October. Stone Lane Gardens is open every day to visitors from 10am till 6pm.
