Volunteering in the Garden

WP_20140307_005Stone Lane Gardens is a registered charity. Maintaining the garden , cataloguing and propagating the birch and alder species, providing education to visiting groups, organisation and paperwork are just some of the many tasks that Paul Bartlett, our busy garden manager has to carry out.

If you have enjoyed our website today and live within sensible driving distance of the Garden, would you like to become a volunteer ? There are lots of ways you could help and at the same time benefit from spending time close to nature in a friendly environment. Your time and skills could help this place to thrive.

Some of the volunteer tasks that you could help with include:

  • Weeding and pruning
  • Plant propagation work in the polytunnel and nursery beds
  • Adminstrative tasks
  • Fundraising
  • Helping with teas and refreshments for group visits
