Betula papyrifera ‘St George’ (Paper Birch or Canoe Birch tree)
Betula papyrifera ‘St George’ is a fast-growing form of paper birch from Newfoundland, Canada. The bark is lighter coloured than our other cultivar B. papyrifera ‘Belle Vue’, becoming a pale pinkish white when mature.
Ideal for planting as an ornamental screen or windbreak, due to its rapid growth.
Excellent form with good persistent golden yellow leaves in autumn.
Eventual height: 12-18 metres, lightly spreading crown.
