New path with stunning views opens in Kenneth’s Meadow

After several hours spent sitting on a tractor mower this week, Paul Bartlett, gardens manager, has opened up a new and extensive path through our largest wildflower meadow, known as Kenneth’s Meadow. The path provides a continuation of the leafy passage which weaves its way through the glades of Salter wood. From Kenneth’s Meadow the spectacular view of High Dartmoor from North to South can easily be claimed to be the best in the South West.
Thanks to the willing hands of our volunteers using rakes and sacks, the hay they collected from the new pathway has been put to good use in the tree nursery as mulch to cultivate and keep weed free the young tree collection growing there.
