Peer Gynt – Outdoor Theatre at Stone Lane Gardens
Friday 24th July at 7pm – Stone Lane Gardens (NOT 7.30PM AS SHOWN ON SOME POSTERS)
We welcome Cornwall’s hugely successful Miracle Theatre company to Stone Lane Gardens, to perform at our annual outdoor theatre. This popular event raises much-needed funds for our garden charity.
Loosely based on Ibsen’s epic comedy, this famous morality tale is perfect material for Miracle Theatre’s highly visual style – physical, funny, surreal and deeply human. Journey through the dream-like world of Norse mythology, peopled with cranky characters, trolls and other bizarre creatures – a comedy of terrors!
Playful, unique and entertaining – this summer show will be a real treat blending storytelling with outdoor settings. People are encouraged to bring blankets, low backed chairs, picnics, friends, family and a sense of adventure for the magic of live performance under open skies.
Gates open at 6pm. The audience seating area for the outdoor performance is in a sloping grass wildflower meadow. Please bring blankets or low chairs and be prepared for the weather on the day. It can be chilly in the evenings, but the atmosphere is magical! Tickets are not refundable. The performance will go ahead whatever the weather, so dress accordingly. You are welcome to bring picnics.
