Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do you allow dogs in the garden?
A. Yes, your four-legged friends are welcome in the garden, as long as they are on a lead.
Q. What time is the garden open?
A. Click here for opening times and prices. Sculpture exhibition open during the summer – see The Sculpture Sculpture page for details.
Q. Do you have a cafe?
A. Yes, we now have a lovely little tea room, with outdoor tables too. Click here for details. We serve hot and cold drinks, home made cakes, ice cream and Devon cream teas. Chagford and Drewsteignton, both within 2 miles, offer a range of shops, pubs and eateries.
Q. Do you give a discount for OAPs?
A. I am afraid we are unable to give a discount, as our admission is already quite competitive compared to other gardens and our charity does have to be self-sustaining. But if you come as a group of 10 or more, then you can receive a discount!
Q. Do you receive payment from the RHS for being a partner garden?
A. No, we receive no funding from the RHS, but they do publicise the garden. RHS members are very welcome with Free Entry on Fridays, (please show your card).
