Alistair Lambert

Alistair Lambert was born in 1965 and studied sculpture at Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College of Art. Through various public art commissions Alistair developed associated skills such as running creative workshops and enhancing public engagement and creativity through practical workshops. Since moving from London to Topsham, near Exeter in 2021, Alistair has exhibited sculptures at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Cornwall and at The Thelma Hulbert Gallery in Honiton. He continues to exhibit, teach and take on occasional commissions.

Alistair Lambert configures repeated interlocking elements that are adapted to specific locations. With a deep rooted interest in architecture and geometry his work challenges ideas of permanence and mass in favour of play and experimentation. The use of recycled materials that carries history and points to our nomadic stance in the wider environment.
