Most of my work is based on the human form and is often emotive, the stone is carved in a way that entices the viewer to engage with the senses and ideas develop through working sympathetically with that particular rock shape and type. I use recycled stone from the West Country but more recently I have acquired Alabaster and Marble from Carrera. Some stone types take a lot of work to finish whereas others lend themselves to texture and tooled surfaces. The highlight to 2023 was the sale of a small sculpture to a good friend purchased in memory of his partner who had passed away.
