Lynn Baxter

Lynn is an abstract artist who lives and works in the South West of England where her sculptures, paintings and ceramics are shown frequently,

She has won two sculpture awards and holds a first class Honours degree in fine art, Commissions include sculpture for Volvo, Scotland and she has been Artist in Residence at Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Cromarty.

Icarus  is in polished stainless steel,  material chosen to reflect the light and sky which the hero of the myth tried to make his own his quest for human flight. She sees the aspiration to fly as having kinship with the creative process.

The sculpture is suitable for placing outdoors in all weathers and is suitable for both corporate and domestic settings in any location.
