Description
Chinese Red Birch are beautiful trees, much loved by gardeners. Perhaps the finest of all birches for subtlety of bark. Betula albosinensis ‘Pink Champagne’ is a popular cultivar with delicately soft pale pink bark colouring. A lighter barked tree than many B. albosinensis – selected from a specimen tree from Gansu in our arboretum.
Our trees are 2 year old grafts of around 4 foot height.
Smooth bark, peeling freely in sheets. Delicate foliage. Light shade. Originating from China.
Height: 9-15 metres, lightly spreading crown.
